He kept the canvas open on every single album cover, which is very ballsy for both the band and him. Hugh did something that I admire to this day, he changed Rush's logo on every single album he worked on! I absolutely love that. It's impossible not to chuckle a little once you know the title of the album. The album cover is essentially a very funny pun done exquisitely. This is Rush's most successful album, both critically and commercially. Hugh Syme is one of the greatest album cover artists of the past 50 years. Please check out each artist below, because your mind will be blown every single time (Also in a 1982 "Scanners" film fashion). I selected covers that, in my opinion, cannot be ignored. Every record store is like that "Monster's, Inc." title sequence, where thousands of beautiful doors move around, only in this case the doors summon you into a spectacular world created by the artist's music… the album cover is simply the most exquisite invitation ever created. There's been so many times when a cover gets tattooed in my brain, from the very moment you see it you fall head over heels like a lovesick teenager. This is like asking Tarantino to write a silent movie-his head would explode in a 1982 "Scanners" film fashion, much like mine as I rattle between the thousands of records I love. I hope you guys take the time to drop by and give us tips, tricks and any and all input in helping bring the console to life. For someone who loves music, and has essentially made a career combining music, comics and animation for the last 10 years, choosing only 10 album covers is pure joyful torture. What better way to finish off a project than to send it where it belongs. The overall plan is once the console is finished I will donate it to Chris Lee and his full scale MF build. I'm hoping to have working switches, lights, throttles and even the working monitor Han used to find the Lando System. this is a VERY rough shell and there is still an incredible amount of work to do to include the daunting task of identifying any and all parts on the console and in the cockpit in general. I created the basic shell in just a few hours. After a few trips to the local home improvement store and only one mis-measurement (GRRRR). With Stevestarkiller's help he was able to get me ALL the dimensions necessary to start the console build. I contacted Stevestarkiller and we chatted and before I knew it, I was studying his 3D model of the MF cockpit control panel and made the decision to jump in and build the one thing MOST OF US HERE have dreamt about doing - sitting behind the wheel of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. How many of us thought we were actually in the MF? Then I remembered the 1:1 scale MF being built in TN - just an hour or so away from where I live. I stumbled across Stevestarkiller's amazing 3D model of the MF and it simply BLEW ME AWAY! His attention to detail was mind boggling. Everyone here had inspired me to shake the dust off and get back to building. Having built and blown up models as a kid. After many years of looking at all the great builds I decided to become a member with the idea that I would tackle something "simple" like a 1/48th X-Wing build.
